Apple Watch "Veterans Day" Challenge Launches Today: Exercise for 11 Minutes to Earn Your Badge
Apple has launched its 2025 "Veterans Day" limited-edition challenge for Apple Watch users. To earn the special award, users must complete any workout of 11 minutes or more on November 11. The article highlights a crucial prerequisite: the challenge is region-locked to the United States. Users outside the US must temporarily change their Apple Watch's region setting to "United States" in the Watch app on their iPhone to see and participate in the challenge.

If you're an Apple Watch user, you're likely familiar with the "ding" of limited-edition challenges popping up on special days. Following the World Mental Health Day challenge on October 10th, Apple has officially launched its next "Limited-Edition Challenge": the 2025 "Veterans Day" Challenge.
Challenge Details: Exercise for 11 Minutes on November 11
Like many previous challenges, Apple's design is clever. To earn this award, the rules are very simple:
Earn this award on November 11 by doing any workout for 11 minutes or more. Record your time with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.
It's that simple. November 11, 11 minutes—the barrier is so low, there's almost no reason not to complete it.

How to Make the Challenge Appear
The "Veterans Day" challenge is specific to the United States region. If your Apple Watch's "Region" setting is not set to the US, the challenge will not appear in the Fitness app at all, and you will be unable to complete it.
To ensure you can see and participate in the challenge, follow these steps:
- On your iPhone, go to the Apple Watch App.
- Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General.
- Tap Language & Region, then tap Custom. Here, you can change your Apple Watch's region.
Tip: You can change the region back to your usual setting after completing the challenge and confirming you've received the award.
Why We Love Collecting These Badges
From the "Ring in the New Year Challenge," "Heart Month Challenge," and "Earth Day Challenge" to the "National Parks Challenge" and now "Veterans Day," these limited-edition challenges from Apple have become a "holiday ritual" for Watch users.
They are like "achievement badges" in a game, motivating us to stay active in a light and fun way. While 11 minutes is brief, it might just be the start you need to "close all your rings" for the day.
On November 11, let's all take 11 minutes to get moving and earn this meaningful award.
